Ride the AI Knowledge Revolution
The enterprise world just woke up: trusted knowledge isn’t a nice-to-have — it is instruction for AI. At eGain, we’ve spent years building what Gartner calls the best AI-powered knowledge management platform on the market. Now we need a closer — a senior enterprise seller who can turn that advantage into signed deals across Europe.
The Opportunity
You’ll sell into the biggest enterprise SaaS land-grab in years. Knowledge management is exploding from a nice-to-have to a CIO priority, and we’re holding the cards: top-rated product by Gartner, marquee clients (Achmea, BT Group, BUPA, SAP), and an accelerating innovation pipeline.
Your mission: walk into the office of the head of customer operations and stop by her CIO’s desk to explain how we transform siloed content chaos into trusted knowledge on tap — then close the deal.
What You’ll Do
- Build and manage a pipeline of complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals from prospecting to close, including new-logo hunting and pipeline creation
- Position eGain as the infrastructure play behind every enterprise AI initiative
- Leverage our Global 2000 client base and Gartner leadership to shorten sales cycles and maximize deal size
- Engage C-suite and VP-level stakeholders across UK, DACH, and Benelux markets
- Run complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles ranging from €250k to €1m+, selling business outcomes rather than features
- Navigate dual-stakeholder (business/ops AND tech/AI) buying journeys, including RFP, procurement, and commercial negotiation
- Sell both directly and through partner/channel routes to market
- Partner with product, marketing, and sales engineering to stay ahead of the fastest-moving category in AI tech
- Accurately forecast and manage your pipeline in CRM
What You Bring
- Roughly 8–15 years of B2B enterprise software sales experience, including at least 5 years selling SaaS solutions into large enterprises, with a proven track record of quota attainment on complex deals
- Background spanning some combination of Enterprise AI/GenAI, Knowledge Management, Customer Service/Contact Centre, CRM, Service Management, or Employee Experience/Digital Workplace
- Ideally, direct Knowledge Management sales experience; at minimum, experience selling solutions adjacent to eGain’s space (e.g. candidates from the ecosystem around Salesforce, ServiceNow, Genesys, NICE, Verint, Pegasystems, Zendesk, Coveo, contact-center technology, enterprise AI, or KM vendors such as USU, Empolis, PollyHelp, KMS Lighthouse)
- Good understanding of AI, automation, and the broader enterprise technology landscape
- Strong discovery skills and the ability to navigate long, ambiguous sales cycles involving business transformation
- Comfortable engaging and selling to C-level and VP stakeholders
- Self-sufficient, commercially sharp, competitive, persistent, curious, and intellectually credible — someone who builds relationships as naturally as they build pipeline
Who You Are
Curious, intellectually credible, persistent, and comfortable with ambiguity. Competitive and commercially aggressive, but genuinely good at building relationships. Reasonably technical, with the patience for long sales cycles and the conviction to sell an AI-led business transformation story.
Location and Language
- Based in the UK, Germany (Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Cologne, or Munich), or the Netherlands (Amsterdam)
- English required; German strongly preferred
- Hybrid — UK-based candidates should expect roughly 1 day a week in the Newbury office
Why Now
The market is moving. Businesses are scrambling to make AI work, and they’re finally realizing garbage knowledge in means garbage decisions out. We’ve got the solution, the customers, and the momentum. We just need the closer.
