POSITION:  LEGAL COUNSEL

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to join our innovative technology Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a crucial role in providing legal advice, conducting contract negotiations, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Your expertise and guidance will be instrumental in supporting our fast-paced and dynamic operations in the technology industry. On-site presence in the Sunnyvale office 3 days a week.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Offer expert legal advice on contracts, intellectual property (IP), data privacy, regulatory compliance, and litigation.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate various agreements ensuring legal and company policy compliance.
  • Collaborate with the CFO and teams to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation in business operations.
  • Manage relationships with external law firms as needed (e.g. SEC filings, IP and litigation.)
  • Develop and implement legal policies and best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Advise management on strategic decisions to support growth and protect company interests.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal and regulatory changes and provide guidance on necessary adjustments to company practices.

Education and Experience

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; bar admission required.
  • 3+ years of legal experience, focused on technology or SaaS.
  • Skilled in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate legal risks.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment preferred.

Compensation

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $140,000 to $200,000 per year.
