Ashutosh Roy, eGain’s co-founder, has served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of eGain since 1997. From 1995 to 1997, he served as Chairman of WhoWhere? Inc, an Internet-service company he co-founded, which is now part of Lycos, Inc.
From 1993 to 1995, Ashu co-founded Parsec Technologies, an international call center software company based out of India. From 1988 through 1992, he worked in various software engineering positions at Digital Equipment Corp.
Ashu holds a BS in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, a Masters degree in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University, and an MBA from Stanford University.
Anand Subramaniam brings 15 years of experience in leading high-tech companies to his position as the VP of Marketing for eGain. Prior to eGain, Anand served as the VP of Marketing for Yubé Inc., a provider of award-winning cloud software for post-sales customer service automation.
Anand was the VP of Marketing for Informatica’s Applications Business Unit, and also served as the Director of CRM Product Strategy, Director of Worldwide CRM Marketing, and Director of eBusiness Marketing at Oracle. Additionally, he held product marketing, product management, and technical marketing/support roles at Lotus, Intel, and Autodesk for key products.
Anand holds an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley and MSME from the University of Rhode Island.
Promod Narang is Senior Vice President of Products and Technologies for eGain. He has over nineteen years of experience in managing and developing software products and services.
Promod has founded and served as President of VMPro, a system software consulting company providing software solutions and services to technology companies including E*Trade, IBM, Westinghouse, LSI Logic, and NCR. His other experiences include project management and software development roles at Sharebase, Silvar-Lisco, and IBM. Promod holds a BS degree from Wayne State University.
JC joined eGain in 1999 in the Products Group. After working in various positions in Product Engineering, Product Management and Project Management, he transitioned to the Customer Success Team in 2013 responsible for Worldwide Technical Support and Cloud Operations. In 2015, he took on the additional responsibility for Worldwide Professional Services.
Prior to eGain, JC worked in various Software Development positions at TIBCO, Silicon Graphics and Intergraph.
JC holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and an MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas, Austin.
Ian’s role at eGain is to assist customers to identify opportunities for the use of eGain’s technology within their environment and to develop vertical solutions to disseminate best practices. He has worked with many contact center and self-service operations at large global companies, advising and supporting their implementations. He is currently involved in developing customer service solutions for organizations in the Telco sector in Europe, North America, and Asia. Ian also leads the eGain Product Management team.
Ian’s background is in consultancy, advising, and implementing decision-support systems using a variety of technologies, including case-based reasoning, constraint programming, and rule-based systems. Ian holds a BS Honours degree in Physics from Imperial College, an MS in Computing Science, and an MBA.
Before he joined eGain, Ian had worked at Inference Europe, Bull Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence Ltd, and A.E.R.E Harwell.
Eric Smit, Chief Financial Officer, brings over 15 years of finance and operations experience to his position. Before eGain, he had been with WhoWhere? Inc. as Director of Finance, and with Velocity Inc., a software game publisher and developer as Vice President of Operations and Chief Financial Officer.
Other positions held by Eric Smit include Controller for Reference Software International until its acquisition by WordPerfect Corp. Smit began his career in accounting at Laticorp, Inc. and Centennial Savings and Loan. He received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Rhodes University, South Africa.
AJ’s long and distinguished career in Sales and Marketing started with Hewlett Packard as sales rep, moving to District Sales Manager, Area Sales Manager, and finally Region Marketing Manager.
After Hewlett Packard, he served as VP of Sales for Pyramid Technologies, VP of Marketing for Sequoia Systems, and VP of Sales and Marketing for Cray Research Superservers. AJ has been CEO for public as well as private high-tech organizations, including Interlink Computer Sciences, IMPACT and EdenTree Technologies. He graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana with BS in Economics and Finance.
Anurag is responsible for sales consulting and application hosting for eGain’s North America customers.
He brings over ten years of experience in software development and quality assurance having worked in R&D positions at Ansys Inc., NASA Langley Research Center, and the Center for High Performance Computing at Cornell University. Anurag holds MS and PhD degrees from Yale University and a Bachelor’s degree from IIT, Delhi.
Mr Rex Dorricott has been General Manager for EMEA at eGain Corporation since November 19, 2014. Mr Dorricott is responsible for overall company strategy, product roadmap and relationships with Exony’s strategic technology partners. He co-founded Exony Limited in 1999 and served as its Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer. A 20-year software industry veteran, he specialises in delivering first class communications software to the world’s largest organizations. Prior to forming Exony, he headed up European Research and Development at Sony, where he led collaboration projects with both Sony Japan and Oracle. He holds a BSc in Electronic Engineering and MA in Engineering from Southampton as well as an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from Surrey University.
Before Sam joined eGain, he was VP of Engineering at Purisma, where he was responsible for all product development activities. Other positions held by him include Director of Product Marketing – Architecture and Infrastructure at Siebel Systems, VP of Engineering at sales.com, and co-Founder and CTO at DocuMagix.
Sam has a BS in Mathematics from Stanford University. He is active in various professional groups in Silicon valley, and is a partner at Sand Hill Angels, a private equity firm.
