POSITION: PROJECT MANAGER

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Experience: 4 to 6 years of project management experience in leading IT/Product Engineering projects

Job Summary

As Project Manager in our program management team, the candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the project and for risk management for internal product engineering and cloud/infrastructure projects. This hands-on position requires experience with internal team members on a day-to-day basis as well as coordination with other internal departments. Qualified candidates must be multitask leaders, possess excellent interpersonal skills, have an attention to detail, and have a commitment to project success. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and thrive in an environment with tight deadlines, multiple priorities, and limited resources. Candidates must have experience with both Agile and traditional project management principles and be able to blend both methodologies to deliver high-value projects on time, within scope, and at high quality.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Deliver quick value services efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Prioritize and manage several projects with minimal manager oversight
  • Drive project timelines, enforce scope, and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value
  • Organize and lead project status and working meetings, upgrade online status, manage risks and issues, and adapt to deviations from plans
  • Identify and effectively communicate with internal stakeholders
  • Occasional interaction with upper management
  • Apply where applicable Change Management best practices
  • Manage and empower a diversified team, which includes on-site and off-shore consultants

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferred
  • 4 to 6 years of experience as a project manager, primarily software development projects and/or IT projects
  • PMP and Agile certification preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational, project management, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Monitors deliverables daily to identify critical paths and obstacles
  • Ability to negotiate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Solid knowledge of full software project life cycle and ability to comprehend enterprise software architecture

Skills

  • JIRA, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project experience
  • Experience with resource planning
