POSITION: PRE-SALES SOLUTION CONSULTANT

Location: Newbury, UK (Remote)

Job Summary

The Pre-Sales Solution Consultant will be focused on providing prospects with an understanding of how the eGain solution can add value to them. They will provide general sales support to the Direct Sales team, Partners team and Customer Success Management (CSM) team. The Pre-Sales Consultant will report to Director of Pre-Sales.

Duties/Responsibilities

The role of the Pre-Sales Solution Consultant is made up of two areas:

  • The first is to provide support for the Sales organisation during the sales process. This will include:
    • Product demonstrations and presentations to prospects
    • Responding to requests for proposals
    • Understanding the prospect’s business requirement and creating custom demonstrations that show the value of the eGain proposition
    • Mapping solutions to business requirements
    • Creating a list of appropriate SKUs (BOM)
    • Own handoff to Professional Services
    • Record demos
    • Put notes in MSD and links to demo recordings (fields TBD)
    • Assist with reducing ramp time for Sales
  • The second area is to maintain a technical relationship with existing customers and provide them with agreed areas of support so as to maximise the sales potential of that customer.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of solution consulting experience or experience in a similar capacity
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical-reasoning skills
  • Capable of learning new technologies quickly
  • Previous pre-sales experience in the Customer Care / Support environment
  • Good understanding of call centres and call centre processes
  • Good understanding of the benefits of knowledge in an omnichannel world
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Collaboration skills
