Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to manage and grow a team of Business Development Representatives focusing on the contact center, digital channels and knowledge management markets. This will be a high-touch, high-visibility position working with BDRs driving engagement, sales enablement and maximizing the new business pipeline.


  • Meet and exceed quarterly objectives for new business development in both North American and EMEA markets, based on the number of qualified prospects transitioned to the sales team
  • Support and build the performance of the eGain business development team through direct guidance and coaching of the team members
  • Delivery of Sales Training sessions to the BDR team to continuously improve the team’s prospecting effectiveness aligned to the latest eGain messaging
  • Assist the team in presenting eGain solutions and benefits to prospects, driving business level outcomes to progress prospects from interest to qualified prospect stage
  • Leverage tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, TechTarget, and others to identify and engage prospects with effective messaging
  • Accurately report lead activity and status in the eGain CRM system
  • Coordinate with eGain Sales Management resources to evaluate the lead pipeline and progress against plan for established objectives

Education and Experience

  • BA/BS degree required
  • 5+ years of experience with a strong track record of overachievement against new business development goal in enterprise CRM or related software
  • 5+ years of experience managing a BDR team
  • Willingness to work across both North American and EMEA markets, and so flexibility in working hours is required
  • Optimistic and diligent
  • Strong bias for action


  • Prior work experience within the Contact Center market is desired
  • Relevant sector experience from a company such as Verint, Moxie, Oracle, Salesforce, Microsoft, Genesys would be an advantage
  • Understanding of the Contact Center or CRM space would also be an advantage
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
