POSITION: LEGAL ASSISTANT

Location: Sunnyvale, CA / Seattle, WA

Job Summary

We are looking for candidates who are willing to learn and develop alongside our team and take on more responsibility as they grow. The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects quickly and with little guidance, react with appropriate urgency, take effective action without having to know the total picture, and solve a broad range of problems that affect people within the group or other related groups.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the in-house legal team and attorneys and other department roles on routine processes and legal matters
  • Assist in corporate governance matters, including board projects, meetings, and communications
  • Assist with the preparation of documents and spreadsheets, drafting routine letters and other correspondence
  • Track information on spreadsheets and/or other task management software and databases
  • Liaise with external law firms to ensure they send and receive billing information in a timely manner and keep close track of adherence to legal budget
  • Coordinate contract approvals, signatures, and filings
  • Provide general administrative support (e.g., helping with presentations, meeting coordination)

Education and Experience

  • Associate’s degree and 1+ year of experience in paralegal, legal administration, or relevant area, or 3+ years of experience in paralegal, legal administration, or relevant area
  • Legal experience is a plus
  • Experience in an administrative capacity or as a paralegal
  • Experience of reviewing and negotiating simple contracts such as NDAs would be a plus
  • Strong desire and aptitude for learning new concepts
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Poise under pressure and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Creative problem-solver
  • Flexible, enthusiasm for teamwork, and a “can do” attitude
  • A good sense of humor

Our Hiring Process is “Easy with eGain”

Step 1: Written test (should take roughly 60 minutes of your time)

  • Aptitude section

We will let you know within 2 business days of your taking the test if you have progressed to the interview stage. The interview will be scheduled no later than 7 calendar days after the test.

Step 2: Panel interview (max 60 minutes), HR interview (max 30 minutes)

Step 3: Selection: You will receive a written offer, if selected, within 3 days of the interview.
