Job Summary

As a Business Development Manager at eGain, you will play a crucial role in driving our sales initiatives by qualifying inbound marketing leads. You will use the MEDIC sales qualification methodology to ensure that leads handed over to our Client Directors are of high quality and have a strong potential for conversion.


  • Lead Qualification:
    o Employ the MEDDIC methodology for inbound leads, conducting pre-call research and preparing tailored presentations.
    o Document specifics in CRM and nurture leads through various channels.
    o Ensure leads meet criteria before advancing or collaborating with sales on dispositions.
  • Collaboration with Teams:
    o Collaborate closely with marketing, providing feedback on lead quality.
    o Coordinate with Client Directors for seamless lead handovers.
  • CRM Management and Reporting:
    o Maintain accurate CRM records, track and report on lead metrics, and analyze trends for process enhancement.
  • Market Research and Analysis:
    o Stay informed on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
    o Use insights to refine lead qualification strategies, participating in industry events for networking.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    o Regularly review and refine lead qualification processes for efficiency.
    o Engage in continuous learning about eGain’s products, competitive landscape, and sales best practices.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • Proven sales or business development experience, preferably in SaaS or technology
  • Strong understanding of the MEDDIC sales qualification framework
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
