We are looking for a consultant to join Pre-Sales at the Newbury, UK location. The Pre-Sales team currently consists of 8 people. As a pool of resources, the Pre-Sales team interacts with the Direct Sales team focused on prospects, the CSM team focused on existing customers, the Partner team focused on partners, and Professional Services who are engaged with deploying applications.

Job description

The Pre-Sales Consultant will be focused on providing prospects with an understanding of how the eGain solution can add value to their organisation. This is achieved through a combination of requirements gathering, demonstrations, providing responses to Proposals, architecture design, running pilots, T+B engagements and the provision of general sales support to the Account Management team. The Pre-Sales Consultant will report to the EMEA Pre-Sales Director.

Responsibilities

The role of the Pre-Sales Consultant is made up of two areas:

  • The first is to provide support for the sales team and to partners during the sales process. This will include:
    • Product demonstrations and presentations to prospects
    • Responding to proposals
    • Understanding the prospects’ business requirement and creating custom demonstrations that show the value of the eGain proposition
    • Running pilots, Proof of Concept and T+B systems.
  • The second area is to maintain a technical relationship with specific existing customers and provide them with agreed areas of support so as to maximise the sales potential of that customer.

Requirements

  • Ideally studied to degree level; A Levels a minimum
  • Previous pre-sales experience in a solution-selling environment
  • Previous pre-sales experience in the customer care / support environment
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong communication skills enabling them to present or demonstrate during a business meeting
  • Good understanding of call centres and call centre processes
  • Good understanding of Java / J2EE software applications as they relate to enterprise applications
  • Good understanding of the benefits of knowledge in an omnichannel world
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL
  • Can build relationships with business and technical contacts at all levels in client organisations
  • Ability to work in the UK and travel throughout Europe easily, with short notice, and potentially, worldwide to meet the needs of the business
  • An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office

We are seeking self-motivated team members with excellent communication skills who will be able to present and demonstrate how the eGain solution can add value during prospect meetings at C-Level.
