Job description

The Financial Reporting Analyst will prepare and file the company’s quarterly and annual financial statements with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Forms 10-Q, 10-K and related earnings releases on Form 8-K. Additionally, this role will assist with technical accounting analysis and memorandums and will work closely with the Corporate Controller, the finance team, key management personnel, legal counsel and internal & external auditors.


Financial Reporting responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and file financial statements with the SEC on Forms 10-Q, 10-K and earnings releases on Form 8-K
  • Proactively manage financial reporting deadlines and communications with the Corporate Controller, accounting team and internal and external auditors
  • Address and resolve accounting issues in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Manage the financial printer relationship and handle word processing changes at a detailed, organized and accurate level
  • Assist the CFO and finance team with the written script and earnings release processes as required
  • Manage the sub-certification process with the Disclosure Committee
  • Manage communications timely with the Audit Committee including SOX approvals for filing
  • Research, interpret and implement accounting and regulatory guidance to provide accurate and relevant disclosures in the company’s audited financial statements and SEC filings
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly close processes
  • Develop a working relationship with the internal and external auditors


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 5 to 8 years of financial reporting experience
  • Big 4 or regional accounting background with experience working for a US publicly-traded company preferred
  • Experience using SEC financial printer software such as Donnelley Active Disclosure or Merrill Bridge with working knowledge of XBRL preferred
  • Must have strong organization and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong business acumen to understand financial statement fluctuations and balances
  • Cooperate proactively with team members in a professional and responsive manner
  • Timely address risk items identified during quarter and year-end closes
  • Work with executive, management and support staff seamlessly
