POSITION:  ENGINEER I, CLOUD OPERATIONS

Location: Pune, India

Duties/Responsibilities

  • The person must work to ensure that the performance and availability of the eGain applications, server, and network infrastructure are maintained to the highest standard so that maximum productivity is achieved for eGain Cloud clients.
  • Coordinate and communicate with various parties involved in incident and problem management. Escalate technical issues effectively based on priority and impact.
  • 24 x 7 support and planning of upgrades/hotfix/deployments.
  • Follow, and review the change management process.
  • Interact with the customer over any issue, upgrade, or request, and ensure the customer is satisfied with the results.
  • Proactively stay up-to-date with all the product suites, and latest technologies concerning products and the underlying technologies, and dissipate this knowledge to the other engineers.
  • Work effectively with offshore teams, coordinating issue resolution and customer communication.

Education and Experience

  • BE/B. Tech./MCA/BCA/ME/M. Tech
  • 2 to 4 years of work experience
  • Experience with Java basics, JBoss fundamentals, Linux and AWS
  • Exposure to SQL 2000/2005/2008 and Exposure to basic Windows (2003/2008) administration.
  • Should have worked on specific application-related troubleshooting by reviewing the application log files, configurations, deployment architecture, usage, reviewing the code, etc.
  • Should be ready to work in 24×7 rotating shifts
