Position: Sr. Sales Account Executive

Location: Greater NY Metro Area - NY, NJ, CT

Job description:
eGain Sr. Sales Account Executives are responsible for leading the sales effort of licensed or hosted enterprise applications. Revenue objectives will be met through implementing effective sales strategies in delivering eGain's eService suite of solutions to Fortune 1000 companies in the geographic territory. Effective solution selling skills will be required to position the business value that these applications can deliver to operational executives and Line of Business owners.

Primary responsibilities:

  Drive $200k to $1 million plus deals in a highly competitive market place
  Leverage resources including Sales Engineer, Professional Services personnel, and executive resources to win new business.
  Develop contacts into leads and work through the entire sales cycle, including responding to RFPs, writing proposals and quotations, license negotiation and all other aspects of the sales cycle.
  Identify, develop, and articulate the compelling value proposition to prospective customers and current end users.
  Provide confident, high-energy presentations and proposals, lead meetings with minimal guidance or supervision.
  Actively identify and address business questions demonstrating meticulous follow-up and responsiveness to customers and internal staff.
  Ensure that individual and team actions build the organization's reputation for excellent business practices.
  Gather data from prospects or customer to properly qualify business potential to produce reliable business forecasting and contracts.
  Keep informed of competitive activity and offerings in order to assist end users in making decisions between various alternatives.
  Responsible for up-sell and cross-sell activities into existing accounts with goal of Enterprise Deployment of an integrated suite of products.
  Maintain prospect detail and strategic plans for key prospects. Provide accurate and timely sales reports and forecast information.

Job qualifications:

  Understanding of the multi process sales cycle and ability to sell at the executive level in Fortune 1000 accounts.
  7+ yrs. successful outside sales experience of high value software with emphasis in the Financial Services Sector. Relevant experience would be from such companies as Kana, Inquira , nGenera (Talisma), ATG, RightNow, Consona (Knova), BMC, Remedy, ATG, Oracle, & SAP.
  Able to work both independently and as a team member
  Strong business ethics
